The HOWO NX 6x4 CNG tractor truck is a heavy-duty clean-energy truck developed by SINOTRUK Group, powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) to tow a trailer, and can be generally categorized as either a semi-trailer tractor or a full-trailer tractor. The semi-trailer tractor has a towing seat at the rear, used to pull and support the front end of a semi-trailer. The full-trailer tractor, although similar in appearance to a truck, is shorter in length and wheelbase, and has a tow hook at the rear. Tractor trucks are equipped with trailer brakes and a trailer electrical panel for safe and reliable towing. Powered by clean natural gas, it significantly reduces fuel cost and emissions, making it an economical and environmentally friendly choice for long-haul transportation.

The semi-trailer front rests on the tractor's fifth wheel, with the rear drive axle of the tractor bearing part of the semi-trailer's weight.
